/Qualification–Applicants must meet the following requirements: Must be an Indian citizen.Must hold a PhD degree from a recognized university.Must have obtained First Class in all preceding levels with a good academic record.PhD must have been completed within the previous 5 years as of the application deadline.Applicant must be 40 years or below on the date of application.Applicant must have a proven academic record, including peer-reviewed publications and recognitions.Candidates who completed their PhD at NIT Silchar are not eligible for the fellowship at the same institution.Candidates in regular employment are not eligible. Those holding temporary academic/research positions may apply
